Hi Everyone! I can't believe I am saying this, but it's almost time for the Holidays! Due to the popularity of the Fall Mini Sessions last month, I've decided to do something similar, but a bit more open. Holiday Sessions are now being scheduled for November 29th and running up through the holidays! This year has been going by so quickly, it is hard to believe we are getting down to one of my favorite times of the year. Getting into the holiday spirit is never difficult for me or my family to do. I am so excited to pull out my Nativity scene (it's the beautiful Willow Tree set- http://www.willowtreenativityset.com/) and savor what that means in to me, my life, my Faith. In the spirit, I will also be making a donation to a charity that speaks to me personally, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (http://www.jdrf.org/). Many of you may not know that type 1 diabetes is something I was diagnosed with 10 years ago.
About Type I Diabetes
Type I diabetes strikes children suddenly and makes them dependent on injected or pumped insulin daily to stay alive. The disease is chronic and can lead to numerous complications.
• 24 million Americans have diabetes
• Most costly chronic disease in the U.S.
• $174 billion in annual health-care costs
• A new case of diabetes in the U.S is diagnosed every 30 seconds
Why JDRF???
• JDRF is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 diabetes research worldwide.
• 85% of JDRF expenditures directly support research
• Continuously improving lives of people with diabetes while making progress toward a cure.
My donation will be set by the highest booked photography shoot from now until Christmas, which I will match. And of course, if you would like to make a donation, I can include it as well.
Most of you know that I am an on-location photographer- which means, I don't work from a studio, but rather work at location of your choice. This is a great way to have relaxed, professional images wherever you please. :) Since we are in Ohio and the weather is never reliable, I am seeking locations for indoor sessions. I am completely open to your suggestions.
All Holiday Sessions will come with dedicated photography to get your entire holiday portrait needs covered- this includes large family portraits as well! Think what Grandma and Grandpa would like this year- a large canvas print of their beautiful Grandchildren! You will also be able to purchase a photo disc of the entire session. Celebrate the holidays, weather you've been naughty or nice, with photographs that capture your personality.
SOME OPTIONS:
*Quick outdoor session at Easton Town Center (http://www.eastontowncenter.com/)- the large Christmas tree will be in full decor from November 20th on. Meet up; snap a few quality images with you, the kids, the dog, and the cute train! :)
*Quick indoor session at the Hilton Easton (http://www.hiltoncolumbus.com/)- beautifully decorated for Christmas, provides a warm, high class, homey feel.
Both are perfect for getting a holiday card made to send out this year. Session lasts approximately 10-15 minutes so you can continue you’re shopping or run into Starbucks for a peppermint latte! (I am so excited just typing this!!!)
*Indoor and outdoor session at Franklin Park Conservatory (http://www.fpconservatory.org/)- this would be a longer session. We'd start inside at the poinsettia tree, which provides that perfect holiday red! Franklin Park is beautiful inside and out. Depending on your family, we can walk about the conservatory and really customize your shoot. The outdoor gardens provide unique sculptures, dense pines, and great architecture if you are looking for something of that nature. Please note, these sessions do require admission fees to the conservatory, prices vary based on time and number of people. For prices, hours, etc, see their website.
*A mini session in the comfort of your own home! Your own tree, your own decor. Kids and Pets in their zone works well to capture the Joy of your home at Christmas time. SGP will bring the lighting to you and set up a perfect Holiday themed photo in from of your tree, fireplace, front porch, or outside (or all of them!). Prices based on time and number of people. Contact me for details.
Here are some photos from last year taken from the comfort of home:
*Tree Picking, Caroling, giving to charity, solider returning from a deployment, or your family dinner can all be documented! This is a full experience as you get variety of posed and candid’s that really commemorate your event to the fullest. Let your imagination loose and think outside the black and white backgrounds of Sears and Target (not that those are bad- I do it from time to time!!) and really make some Holiday photo magic. Pricing based on time, number of people, and location.

Each session is catered to your needs and requests. Please inquire with me if you are interested in a session in the upcoming weeks. I'm looking forward to sharing the holiday spirit with you and your favorites.
(here it goes....a little early, but I'm in the spirit...)
Happy Holidays Everyone!!!
