This announcement comes with great joy to me. I've made the commitment to my business and finally am advertising my wedding services. I owe so much to several people for making this a reality! So let me start there:

God- Only You knows the way and the path of my life. I am so thankful for provided opportunities to serve You through my work and pray for continued direction in my journey.

Josh- I love you and I couldn't do ANY of this without your love and support continually in every aspect of our lives. Thank you for not only purchasing the ad space for Christmas, but for helping choose the photos in the ad as well. Seriously, you are the greatest!!

Family- You guys believing in me, listening to me, and helping me grow means SO much!! I'm blessed to have so many of you supporting this dream of mine.

Friends- Thank you so much for tolerating me during the past year or so! I know I have a lot to be thankful for, but you guys have been there when I am feeling down to bring me back up and encourage me more and more each day. Some of you have referred me to customers, some of you are customers. You are all wonderful for being here for me continually!!

Andrew C and My Web Wow team- You guys are awesome for working on my website. It really is a true work of graphic art. I love it and am SO appreciative of the hard work you all put in getting it up and going. (http://www.mywebwow.com/)

Emily F- Thanks for helping with my words. You are a living walking word genius!

Drum roll please.... Finally, to all the happy brides and grooms (specifically, but also to all clients of SGP), for allowing me to be a part of your day and document one of the most cherished days of your life. I am excited for all of you to live your life together, and hope that you will be life long SGP clients! You guys are awesome.
I am so excited to make this announcement and really believe in my dream as a reality, not so much a dream.

Best Wishes to everyone for 2010!!!! Happy New Year!

Nathan and Jillian - Married! A fall wedding at Maize Manor and reception at the Hilton Easton

Congratulations to Jillian and Nathan Hysell who were married on 10-24-09! They are an adorable couple who has a lot of love and life to look forward to. They remind me so much of Josh and I about 7 years ago... Young married couple, military influencing on our decision making, but excited for our lives together!
Nathan and Jill were married at Maize Manor United Methodist Church (http://www.maizemanorumc.org/) in Columbus, OH and their reception followed at the Hilton Easton Town Center (http://www.hiltoncolumbus.com/). Both were wonderful locations for this fall wedding. The Bride and Groom both looked stunning in all white accented with red flowers provided by Desantis Florists (http://www.desantisflorists.com/). Nathan is in the Navy and wore his dress whites, a look that will transcend decades and truly document this time in their lives. The day was a bit on the chilly side, so we didn't spend much time outside. Many of the shots were done inside the church or beautiful lobby of the Hilton. Their family and friends made this celebration an evening to remember. Check out this slideshow of some of my favorites from the day!

Married- Lori and Trent! Wedding at St. Leo Church in German Village and Reception at the Venue Columbus, OH by Sarah Gaylor Photography

It was a beautiful day on September 19th 2009. The perfect temperature for an early fall celebration. Lori and Trent are a great couple and it was easy for me to capture their event and their timeless love and expressions. They were married at St. Leo Church in German Village Columbus, OH (http://www.savesaintleo.org/) and the reception was held at The Venue in Downtown Columbus, OH (http://www.venueatsmithbrothers.com/). Both places were beautifully decorated with greens, ivory, and yellow flowers and centerpieces and the character of each facility shined brightly, provided by Desantis Florists (http://www.desantisflorists.com/). Lori and Trent are a couple that was referred from my very first wedding that I was the main photographer for- so, I just wanted to say to a big thank you to Lori and Trent for believing in my work and booking me for their big day.  I hope everyone enjoys the pictures!

Congratulations Lori and Trent!

My first two weddings, re-visited! Wedding Photography at First Congregational Church, Columbus OH and Reception at Creekside Event Center, Gahanna OH and Wedding at North Bank Park, Columbus OH

I just wanted to share some images from my very first two weddings. I've grown significantly since these two weddings, but they both mean a lot to me in my photography career.
I'd like to say thank you to Jess and Josh, my first wedding client, who took a leap of faith to hire me based on my small portfolio at the time. For my first wedding, I must admit, I did make a few crucial mistakes, despite the learning experience, it was a success! In my eyes the best way of knowing you did good is by getting referrals and their wedding has led me to 5 other bookings- 2 weddings, 2 family portraits, and 1 engagement session. Without them, I don't know how I would have hit the ground running, so thank you for jump starting my wedding photography career. Jess and Josh were married at First Congregational Church on Broad St. in Downtown Columbus, OH (http://www.first-church.org/). This church is a beauty! It's stone floors and beautful carved wood pews and alter are just magical. Their reception followed at a new venue, Creekside Event Center in Gahanna, OH (http://www.creeksidecec.com/). Creekside was great because there is so much vibrance in the atmosphere. The outdoor areas surrounding provided a great backdrop for our photography. The waterfalls well manicured landscapes were just perfect!  Jess and Josh are expecting their first soon, so I am very excited for them and the opportunity to photograph their growing family.

The first referral was from Josh, for AJ and Christina, as he and AJ work together. I always thought it was cute that boys talk about wedding photography :)  AJ and Christina are a great couple and have also referred me to work with J. Lauren Events (http://www.jlaurenevents.com/), who planned their special day and provided classy styled decor to their wedding event (my photos are featured on her website- check them out @ http://jlaurenevents.com/city-views/menu-id-20). I enjoyed their wedding very much and the location at North Bank Park in Downtown Columbus, OH (www.recparks.columbus.gov/rentals/northbank.asp)  was so beautiful. It was an intimate ceremony with a small guest list which allowed me to get a few pictures with all the guests. This isn't something you can always accommodate, so I was glad I could get that for them. AJ and Christina are celebrating their 1 year anniversary today! Congratulations!

I have learned an overwhelming amount of information this past year. What growth! Not just in business, but in knowledge and experience. I've learned to act quickly, be prepared, and am feeling comfortable that I can do whatever it is that I put my mind to. As with anything, if you put your heart into it, you can't fail. Thank you again to all of the people who support me and inspire me. :)
Much love!
